Tourisme Bretagne

A Breton wave in Switzerland

An iconic destination in France: Brittany is known for its wild nature, turquoise beaches, fine drizzle – and, of course, the famous kouign-amann. Long popular with French-speaking Swiss, the region is still something of an insider tip in German-speaking Switzerland. With a new brand vision, Tourisme Bretagne wants to position itself clearly here – focusing on sports, slow tourism, and unforgettable experiences outside the high season. To achieve this, Tourisme Bretagne collaborated with furrerhugi.

furrerhugi developed a tailor-made media strategy for the German-speaking Swiss market – with a focus on board sports that are particularly close to the hearts of the Swiss. Only in the Brittany version, with a good dose of sea breeze: surfing, sailing, stand-up paddleboarding, kitesurfing... all inclusive of salty wind in your hair.

For the general public
furrerhugi placed content in the German-Swiss media and organized a media trip with the Coop newspaper. The result: authentic visibility, anchored in the season – and a Brittany that surprises and shines beyond the typical summer images.

For surfers
A key target group: young sports enthusiasts looking for experiences off the beaten track. furrerhugi brought Tourisme Bretagne together with the Swiss surfing association Waveup, among others. This resulted in a trip to Brittany with Pascal Brotzer, founder of Waveup, accompanied by photographer and surfing enthusiast Phil Bucher.

They spent a week in the fall traveling along the Breton coast, meeting locals and documenting their adventures on their personal channels and Waveup's social media platforms. The result is images full of salt, life, and authenticity – stories of a Brittany you wouldn't expect.
