On Sunday, 30 November 2025, the voters of Thun approved the “Bostudenzelg Bläuerstrasse” development plan with 63% voting in favour. The project will create around 600 new apartments, up to 60% of which will be non-profit housing, complemented by public green spaces, a neighbourhood shop, a community centre with café, a double kindergarten and a daycare centre. The project is supported by the City of Thun, Frutiger AG and the Bernese Pension Fund.
furrerhugi was entrusted with providing comprehensive communications support for the vote – from concept development and digital campaigns (social media, website, SEO/SEA) to the design of flyers, advertisements and campaign materials. In addition, furrerhugi supported the cross-party support committee, comprising housing cooperatives, associations and organisations as well as personalities from politics and society, in leading the campaign.
